Salon IKSV will host local psychedelic legends BaBa ZuLa on Saturday 14 January. Set to start at 22:30, tickets are priced at 40 TL (30 TL for students) and are available via the official event page.

20 years of musical history of the band has started with their collaboration with director Derviş Zaim in his cult film ‘Somersault in a Coffin’. Their music can be best described as meditative, maximalist and improvised. The crew of Baba Zula constantly changes and expands with guest musicians joining in, in every new gig. Turkish folk music marinated in dubby electronic sounds, improvisations between a wide array of traditional Turkish music genres are what made Baba Zula known as the opium of the masses. They have participated in world-class festivals and introduced newly emerging Turkish psychedelic music to the whole world.
