Salon IKSV will host Azam Ali & Niyaz and a night of contemporary Middle Eastern music on Wednesday 26 October. Set to start at 21:30, tickets are priced at 60 TL (50 TL for students) and available for purchase via Biletix.

Based in Montreal, NIYAZ was founded in 2004 by multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, and two-time JUNO Award nominee Azam Ali. Holding three albums that sneaked into best-seller lists, the band caused a mid-size hurricane with their concerts around the world, while their music reached millions through blockbuster productions like True Blood, Nip Tuck, Crossing Over. Their fourth and latest album The Fourth Light, released in the March of 2015, traced back the story of Rabia Al Basri, a mystic, sufi and poet who lived in the 8th century Iraq. The album received rare reviews from The BBC World Service to NPR, through PRI – The World to MTV Iggy. The Istanbul stop of their album tour will of course be Salon.
