Babylon Bomonti will host local Kurdish folk artist Aynur Dogan on Tuesday 22 November. Doors are set to open at 20:30, with tickets priced from 35 TL to 65 TL and available via Biletix.
From the organizer:
A leading influence in Kurdish folk music, Aynur Dogan was born in Dersim in 1975. Apart from her collaborations with popular musicians and bands, the artist also supported successful TV series and feature films with her vocals. Dogan gained further popularity with her national and international performances in Kurdish and Turkish. She released “Keca Kurdan” in 2004 and “Nupel” in 2005. Her big break came following her rendition of a popular Kurdish folk song in Yavuz Turgul’s “Gönül Yarası.” Dogan, following her recent collaboration with Silk Road Ensemble in live performances, now focuses on the Hawniyaz Quartet project with Kayhan Kalhor, Salman Gambarov and Cemil Qoçgiri.
