Jeton Records presents Sara Landry at Life Park on Saturday 15 August, bringing one of the defining figures of the current hard techno movement to a lineup completed by Ferhat Albayrak and Silvio Venezia. Landry’s sound sits at the intersection of industrial techno, hard dance and rave, built around punishing low-end, fast tempos and heavily processed textures. A self-taught producer and audio engineer, Landry began developing her sound through the Austin club scene before increasingly moving toward darker and faster forms of techno. Her early releases helped establish the industrial edge that would become central to her work, while the launch of her own Hekate Records in 2021 gave her a platform to develop that aesthetic beyond her own productions. The label has since become part of the wider hard techno ecosystem, releasing music from artists including Nico Moreno, Shlømo and Charlie Sparks.
Landry’s 2024 debut album, Spiritual Driveby, marked another stage in that evolution, expanding her palette beyond the relentless functionality often associated with hard techno while retaining its physical intensity. Her profile has continued to grow through major festival appearances and high-profile club performances, with her sets translating the precision of her studio work into long, forceful passages designed around tension, repetition and release. Her trajectory reflects a broader shift in contemporary techno, where industrial textures, high BPMs and rave influences have moved from specialist territory into increasingly prominent positions on international lineups.
The evening will open with Ferhat Albayrak, founder of Jeton Records and an established figure in the local techno circuit, alongside Silvio Venezia, a newer-generation artist associated with the Berlin scene. Together, they frame Landry’s appearance within a program focused squarely on harder strains of contemporary techno.
