(Past Event) Sónar Istanbul 2026 @ Zorlu PSM

Returning to Zorlu PSM on 10 and 11 April, Sónar Istanbul marks its 10th anniversary with a program that brings together electronic music, digital creativity, and interdisciplinary performance. Presented with the support of %100 Music, the festival continues to position itself at the intersection of sound, technology, and contemporary culture, shaping a two-day experience that moves between club energy, live performance, and audiovisual experimentation. Tickets are available via Passo.

At the center of this year’s edition are two defining names in contemporary electronic music: Eric Prydz and Charlotte de Witte. Prydz is known for his meticulous, long-form approach to production and performance, blending progressive house with immersive, large-scale audiovisual concepts. In contrast, Charlotte de Witte brings a stripped-down, high-intensity techno sound, built on driving rhythms and uncompromising energy, positioning her as one of the leading figures shaping modern techno.

They are joined by Apparat, whose work moves between ambient, techno, and experimental composition, often incorporating live elements and cinematic structure. Polo & Pan add a contrasting dimension with their melodic, rhythm-driven sound, blending house with global influences and a more playful, dance-oriented approach.

Across both days, the lineup expands into a wide-ranging program that reflects Sónar’s focus on exploration and synthesis. Artists such as Stef Mendesidis and Novi_sad contribute live performances rooted in analog sound design and experimental structures, while Cora Novoa and Gerd Janson bring perspectives ranging from modular synthesis to house-driven DJ sets. Collaborative and local acts, including CEM b2b SALOME and a broad selection of Turkish artists, further shape the festival’s multi-layered identity.

The audiovisual dimension remains central to the program, with projects such as Laurel Halo’s Midnight Zone and Liam Young’s New Planetary Imaginaries exploring the relationship between sound, moving image, and narrative. Performances by Lady Starlight and Halina Rice further extend this intersection of music and visual design, while live sets from emerging and experimental artists continue to push the boundaries of format and presentation.

Beyond the nighttime program, Sónar+D Istanbul once again forms a key part of the festival, offering a daytime series of talks, performances, and hybrid formats focused on the future of creativity, technology, and digital culture. Bringing together artists, thinkers, and innovators, this program expands the festival beyond performance into a broader platform for exchange and experimentation.

Marking a decade of activity in Istanbul, Sónar Istanbul 2026 reflects both its established identity and its forward-looking approach, bringing together global and local voices across music, art, and technology in a format built around discovery, collaboration, and shared experience.
