(Oct 12 ) Holy F @ Blind

At a moment when algorithms can convincingly simulate the sound of a classic rock band, Holy Fuck arrive at Blind on Monday 12 October with a reminder of what cannot be replicated. Supported by %100 Müzik, the Canadian quartet bring their long-standing commitment, hardware-driven performance to the stage, operating at the intersection of experimental electronica, synth-punk, and noise rock. Tickets are available via Biletix.

Formed in Toronto in the mid 2000s, Holy Fuck emerged with a deliberately raw approach to electronic composition. Early releases such as LP and the Polaris Prize shortlisted Latin demonstrated how far they could stretch minimal setups into maximal sound. Instead of laptops, the band favored malfunctioning analog gear, toy keyboards, and heavily manipulated signal chains. That tactile philosophy became their signature, aligning them loosely with the dance-punk resurgence of the era while setting them apart from producers who relied on studio polish. Over time, their catalogue has evolved without losing its core principle.

Albums like Congrats and Deleter introduced sharper rhythmic frameworks and guest vocal collaborations, but the underlying mechanics remained resolutely human. Even at their most dancefloor oriented, the tracks carry the slight instability of live circuitry and hands on controls. It is this friction between precision and chaos that gives Holy Fuck their enduring relevance.

They do not reject technology, they insist on wrestling with it in public. On stage, that confrontation becomes the main event. The band operate as a tightly coiled unit, locking into motorik grooves before pushing the tempo toward something closer to controlled collapse. There is no safety net of backing tracks, no illusion of automation. What the audience hears is built in the moment, shaped by muscle memory and instinct.
