This October, the Yabangee community enjoyed a wonderful basketball match-day with Darüşşafaka Tekfen – one of the top teams of the Turkish Basketball League. It was a EuroCup game against the Russian team Unics Kazan. The match was an especially close one, and the winner was decided by a shot at the buzzer! Congratulations to the away team, but we certainly still had a great time.
Darüşşafaka Tekfen plays its international games in Volkswagen Arena, one of Europe’s finest indoor venues. Located in Maslak, the venue is part of Uniq Istanbul Shopping Mall and within walking distance from the ITU metro station. Domestically, their matches are played at Ayhan Şahenk Sports Hall located in Darüşşafaka Mahallesi, with the venue also within walking distance from the Darüşşafaka metro station.
