Flight volunteering for Cihangir Cool for Cats and our network of rescuers is easy and will cost you nothing! We will take care of everything for you. A CCFC representative will bring the animal to the airport, meet you prior to your flight and check the animal in. Upon arriving at your destination airport, you will be met by the adopter. There is no work or expense on your part.
Imagine the satisfaction you will feel when you are the vital link for a grateful adopter or the family who have been waiting to be reunited with their beloved pet!
How it works:
1. Send your flight itinerary, where you are flying to, date, time, flight reservation numbers, the name of the airline, and your contact details to: cihangircoolforcats@rocketmail.com
2. When the animal is confirmed on the flight, we’ll put you in direct contact with the adopter at your destination so that you can exchange all your contact details.
3. On the day you fly, a CCFC representative will meet you at the airport. We’ll help you to check in the dog or cat with the paperwork required, and pay for their reserved ticket.
4. Once you have arrived at the destination airport, you’ll pick up the animal at a special luggage counter, pass through customs and hand over the dog or cat to your contact who will be eagerly waiting.
Important Notes:
• We need a minimum of 10 working days to organize the paperwork, sometimes longer, so the sooner you send the flights the easier to organize all the paperwork and logistics.
• Minimal flight duration and layovers are required (nothing more than 5 hours).
• Flights should be within the same airline/group.
• The current regulations in the UK, Scandinavia, Australia, and New Zealand mean that animals cannot be flown there with flight volunteers.
