One of the pioneers of Norwegian metal scene and co-founders of Emperor, Ihsahn will be at Zorlu PSM on October 3!
One of the co-founders of 1991 founded Norwegian black metal band, Emperor, Ihsahn continues contributing black metal through his solo work since 2005. Since the release of In The Nightside Eclipse in 1994, Emperor made a bold entrance to Norwegian black metal scene. Releasing some of the classics of metal today such as I Am The Black Wizards, Ye Entrancemperium, and Inno A Satana, Emperor turned into a massive power cruising from festival to festival. One of the legendary names behind the whole story, for Ihsahn black metal is a lifestyle. The sound he created with Emperor and carried on with his solo work, a massive and aggressive black metal, became influential on European and especially French metal scene. His diversified work through progressive to black and experimental metal is also textured with techno, ambient and classical. Ihsahn also founded Peccatum together with his wife Heidi Tveitan and his brother Pål Solberg releasing three studio albums. With his latest solo work “Ámr” published in early 2018, Ihsahn will be the talk of the year without a doubt.
