Salon IKSV will host Beirut indie outfit Mashrou’ Leila on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 September. Set to start at 22:00, tickets are priced at 100 TL (75 TL for students) and are available via Biletix (Friday/Saturday).
From the organizer:
Born out of Beirut American University students’ need for a way out of political deadlocks, in 2008. Recorded their first album after winning a song contest. Became the dearies of indie rock listeners who could not find what they were looking for in Beirut. Crowds turned up in queues to their concerts. Made to the covers of many magazines with their LGBTİ+ friendly stance and lyrics. They are particularly known with their energetic, breath-taking performances. According to ‘The Guardian’, they are destined to fill in the stadiums in the future. They most definitely won the hearts of many, while evoking dissent in others, with their critical and satirical attitude. This will be the second Salon gig of the band who are currently working on their fifth album, following their sold-out 2016 concert.
