Pop-Up Dinners Istanbul is back at it again, this time brings a variety of regional flavors together with a Persia meets Siam theme. As usual, it’s RSVP only and seats are likely to fill quickly. Set for Saturday 14 April at 20:30, the evening’s courses are 110 TL with attendees encouraged to bring their own bottles. An optional Lychee martini is on the menu for 20 TL, but must be pre-ordered. For a bit more insight into what deliciousness can be expected, check out our previous review of the pop-up experience.
From the organizer:
Thai cuisine is a fusion of many other country’s recipes. The Yunan region of China lends a lot of influence as does Malaysia to the south, Burma to the West and Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam to the East. But not only that – there are strong influences from India, and Thailand’s number 1 dish origins from Persia where traders brought over their food culture to places like Ayutthaya. We will feature as our main course the Persian inspiration that makes this one of the most luxurious and exciting Thai dishes available. For the rest of the menu you might well recognise the sway of all the above other places that, with their roots interlocking have danced with the fresh flavours of lemongrass and kefir lime leaf making Thai food instantly recognisable and, in its own right, unique.
As always the menu will take a life of its own as we approach the pop-up date.
