Babylon Bomonti will host Parisian duo Acid Arab on Friday 30 March. Hünkar and 47SOUL will open the evening’s proceedings. Doors are set to open at 21:30, with tickets priced from 50 to 85 TL and available via Mobilet.
From the organizer:
Acid Arab is a project by Guido Minisky and Hervé Carvalho, a Parisian duo, who cover Middle Eastern songs.
The turning point for the duo, which is inspired by Middle Eastern music, was the trip to Tunisia with Dj Gilb’R during the times when they were DJing at one of Paris’ famous clubs, Chez Moune. Their first EP, “Le bon vieux temps”, featured French dance geniuses like I:Cube Adnan Mohamed, Omar Souleyman and Judah Warsky. The EP was very popular among many DJs and producers, including Love Fingers, Skudge and Tim Sweeney. Acid Arab is one of the groundbreaking projects of recent times, synthesising the complex rhythmical structure of Eastern music with techno elements.
