Mixer will host the solo exhibition “After the 20th” of Burak Kabadayı from Friday 20 January through Wednesday 1 March.
From the organizer:
The Project, coming out of the recording of the production process of biologic coal in a forest village located in Istanbul’s northwest, is based on a single tree. The artist, in his analogy fictionalized from the story of a single tree, reveals the stages of representation.
The works, as a result of the splintering of a whole, comes out of itself, and exhibits the situation of representing its own first state through what is not itself. “After the 20th”, along with questioning the final representation, presents a fragment of the dialogues, experiences and observations formed during the project.
