Salon IKSV will host Montreal indie outfit The Dears on Saturday 11 February. Set to start at 22:30, tickets are priced at 50 TL (40 TL for students) and are available via Biletix.

Formed in 1995 and became one of the building blocks of the newly emerging indie scene. Toured with The Tragically Hip, Keane, Morrissey, and others. Their music was described as a bridge between Serge Gainsbourg and The Smiths. The frontman of the band, Murray Lightburn, striked critiques with his unique vocals and praised as the melting pot of Morissey and Damon Alborn. Latest album, Times Infinity Volume One, was released after four years of silence in the September of 2015. Their live performances are likened to sacred ceremonies. They are re-visiting Salon nearly after a year. Istanbulites also remember them from the Istanbul Jazz Festival’s 2012 edition.
