Zorlu PSM will host Bill Frisell & Thomas Morgan on Thursday 3 May. Doors are set to open at 20.30, with tickets priced at 120 TL and available via Biletix.

Bill Frisell, one of the forerunner guitarists of the 80’s, and Thomas Morgan, a contemporary jazz musician recorded “Small Town” in 2017 forming the “Small Town Duo” band. Bill Frisell’s music incorporates characteristics of rock, country and bluegrass, among various other styles. Where so many conventional jazz guitarists define themselves by how many notes they can play, Frisell has carved a niche by his sound. With the aesthetics that transcend the boundaries of any style, Frisell has worked on dozens of albums and had numerous collaborations. Thomas Morgan began playing the cello seven years of age, before switching to upright-bass at 14. In “Small Town Duo” Morgan’s quick anticipations of Frisell’s moves give their conversations a startling buoyancy; the weave of bell-like harmonics, quiet electronics and folk-blues figures is simply mesmerising.
