📅 Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul & Bosphorus Dinner Cruise

Welcome to Turkey! Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel for check-in.

In the evening (between 19:30 – 20:00), you will be picked up for a Dinner Cruise on the Bosphorus. Enjoy an evening of stunning views and vibrant entertainment as you sail between Europe and Asia. The cruise includes views of:

• Dolmabahçe Palace
• Ortaköy Mosque
• Maiden’s Tower
• Rumeli Fortress
• Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridges
• Beylerbeyi Palace

Enjoy a delicious dinner with live music, traditional Turkish shows, and a professional DJ. After the cruise ends around 00:00 (midnight), you will be transferred back to your hotel.

📅 Day 2: Istanbul Old City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, the full-day tour starts at 09:00. You will visit some of Istanbul’s most iconic historical landmarks:

• Hagia Sophia: One of the world’s greatest architectural marvels, originally built in the 4th century. Recognized as the 2nd most important engineering achievement in history by the BBC.
• Blue Mosque: Renowned for its stunning interior featuring over 20,000 handmade Iznik tiles and its six minarets.
• Hippodrome: The center of Byzantine entertainment and political activity, notably the site of the tragic Nika Revolt.
• Grand Covered Bazaar: With over 4,000 shops and 58 streets, it is one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets, famous for jewelry, carpets, spices, and antiques.
  → A short demonstration of handmade Turkish carpets is also included.

Optional Add-On:

• Topkapi Palace (€45 per person): Once the residence of Ottoman sultans, now a museum showcasing imperial collections, including the Holy Relics and the Imperial Treasury.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up at 09:00 for another immersive day exploring Istanbul’s religious and imperial past:

• Chora Church (Kariye Museum): Originally built in the 4th century, this church features some of the finest examples of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes.
• Church of St. Mary of Blachernae: Built near a holy spring in the 5th century by Empress Aelia Pulcheria and completed by Emperor Marcian.
• Palace of Blachernae: A lesser-known but historically significant palace used by emperors during the later Byzantine period.
• St. Stephen’s Bulgarian Church (Iron Church): A unique 19th-century pre-fabricated cast iron church built for the Bulgarian Orthodox community during the Ottoman era.
