From the organizer
Owner of a sound rooted in progressive, black and Viking metal, Icelandic post-metal group Sólstafir will be at Zorlu PSM on December 15!
A multi-layered sound project Sólstafir was established in 1995 and has been an inspirational force on Icelandic post-metal scene ever since. Sólstafir’s plurivocal sound adopts a classical hard rock at its core and blends psychedelic memories with mystical melodies and Icelandic native sounds to create a unique mastered sound. Sólstafir, meaning sun beams in Icelandic, is deeply inspired by nature: you can find Arctic landscapes alongside with Equator sunshine and salty sea memories in Sólstafir’s multi-layered sound. Sólstafir has released 6 studio album up to date including 2017 release Berdreyminn and their huge hit Otto (2008). Sólstafir offers its audience a different experience every time and presents them with the most refined version of Icelandic post-metal.
