(July 09) Brazilian Night by Rogê @ Marmara Esma Sultan Yalısı

Get ready for a night of unforgettable music as Brazilian singer-songwriter Rogê brings his infectious energy and rich rhythms to Istanbul. “Brazilian Night by Rogê” will take place on Wednesday, 09 July at The Marmara Esma Sultan Mansion as part of the 32nd Istanbul Jazz Festival. This special event promises to immerse the audience in the soulful sounds of Brazil, blending samba, funk, and bossa nova in a magical open-air setting. Tickets are now available via Passo.

Rogê is widely regarded as a contemporary icon of samba. With a career that spans over a decade in Rio’s renowned Lapa district and seven acclaimed solo albums, he has earned both local and international acclaim. His collaboration with American producer Thomas Brenneck led to the creation of Curyman, an album that brings together samba-funk grooves with lush string arrangements by legendary Brazilian composer Arthur Verocai.

In 2024, Rogê followed up with Curyman II, further showcasing his ability to modernize Brazilian traditions while honoring their roots. The album fuses spirited percussion, bright guitars, and heartfelt melodies, capturing the cultural essence of Brazil while exploring themes of identity, resilience, and joy. It’s music that feels both timeless and contemporary, perfect for a summer night in Istanbul. Rogê transforms the essence of Brazil’s freedom, the warmth of Ipanema, and the resilient voice of Afro-Brazilian culture into music.

Be part of an unforgettable night where the vibrant rhythms of Brazil meet the beauty of the Bosphorus. With Rogê’s captivating melodies and infectious energy, you’ll feel transported straight to the soul of Rio. Secure your tickets now via Passo.
