Aiming to make the challenges women face and the solutions they create for a more equal world visible by supporting women, WOW – Women of the World Festival will be held this year for the first time in Turkey, based on the main theme of ‘Seeing the City through the Women’s Gaze’.
Organized jointly by the British Council and the Sabancı Foundation, the festival will be held on 5-6-7 March in Turkey based on the sub themes of Participation in the Life of the City, the Invisible Face of the City and Solidarity in the City focusing on how gender equality impacts our lives. The online festival will feature works by women from the fields of art and civil society. The festival, which will act as an inclusive, intersectional, fair and open platform for all, will create opportunities to enhance women’s voice and lay the groundwork for new ideas to emerge.
