Yamashita, a resident in Istanbul, expresses the traces of his ceramic life in Istanbul through new, surprising and different forms. Visitors will also see some examples of Yamashita’s previously exhibited striking works. The exhibition, in a way, is a summary of the process what the artist calls “my ceramic life in Istanbul”, which lasted about 10 years.
The exhibition is the last one in Istanbul for Yamashita before he leaves his beloved city for Bodrum. Therefore it is a way of expressing his bond and love for Istanbul, as well. Yamashita will continue his art work and his workshops in Bodrum in near future.
