From the organizer:
Francesco Tristano, the Luxembourger pianist and composer who is known with his classical and experimental electronic works, will be at the #studio on December 9th!
Having trained with esteemed names such as Jerome Lowenthal, Bruce Brubaker and Jacob Lateiner, Tristano started his music career in 2000 with the Russian National Orchestra. As his classical music education at Juillard School was going on, he formed a band called The New Bach Players and started to play Bach during the day, while experiencing house and techno at the clubs of New York City.
Francesco Tristano released his first album titled Not For Piano in 2007, including Jeff Mills’ The Bells and Derrick May’s Strings Of Life as well as his own compositions. Starting to use the synthesizer more with his second album Auricle By One (2008), the talented musician established his style called Piano 2.0 that harmonizes digital and electronic textures with his third album Idiosynkrasia (2010).
Continuing with his work in classical music along with electronic, Tristano proved his competence in both areas with his deep house band Aufgang, which consists of two pianos and drums. Having released 6 albums and 4 maxi singles throughout his solo career as well as 7 albums with Aufgang, his tracks were featured in the two compilation albums by Infiné records.
On December 9th, #studio will host Francesco Tristano, a talented musician who has proved his success with his records and live performances that feature harmonized classical and electronic music tunes.
