Pop-Up Restaurant Istanbul is back at it again, this time with a “Countdown to Christmas” dinner guaranteed to delight. As usual, it’s RSVP only and seats are likely to fill quickly. Set for Saturday 17 December at 20:30, the evening’s courses are 90 TL with attendees encouraged to bring their own bottles. It’s the Christmas Countdown. The tree is up. The Christmas spirit is here. Carols on the ipod, cooking in the kitchen. The menu is not set in stone but will be very soon. PORK is involved.
Smoked oyster and cream cheese canapes
Garlic and coconut soup.
Home smoked salmon tortatini with tomato and cumin cream.
Pork tenderloin (rest of main menu to follow soon).
Kahula Death by chocolate tart.
90tl water provided. Bring a bottle.

The main menu is taking shape. Pork Tenderloin, crispy slow roasted belly pork. Sous Vide Turkey breast as the alternative meat for the non pork eaters. There is a vegetarian option but I need stacks of notice. The menu for that will be aubergine, onion and red pepper tortellini in tomato cumin cream as 2nd starter alternative. Mushroom and chestnut in wine as main alternative.
