The 17th Istanbul Biennial organized by IKSV is now accessible through Turkish and English guided tours. Sponsored by Koç Holding, specialist tour guides offer all visitors a deeper look inside the artworks and the exhibitions’ conceptual framework. The hour-long tours are held regularly at Pera Museum, Müze Gazhane and Barın Han (except Mondays) at 11.00, 14.00 and 16.00 (Pera Museum and Müze Gazhane have disabled access). Single venue tickets and combined tickets for all three venues are available via Passo. From the organizer:
Guided Tours Sponsored by Koç Holding
The guided tour programme of the 17th Istanbul Biennial allows visitors to see the exhibitions in the company of specialists, trained with the valuable contribution of Koç Holding.
The tours conducted by guides majoring in varying fields last for about an hour in Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum, Müze Gazhane and Barın Han. Guided tours enable visitors to get a closer look at the artworks, to learn about the exhibition and its conceptual framework, and to inquire further about the works and the artists.
Tours will be held regularly at Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum, Müze Gazhane and Barın Han daily except Mondays at 11.00, 14.00 and 16.00. Tours in English are held at the same venues on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11.00.
Headphone system is used in the regularly held tours.
Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum and Müze Gazhane have disabled access. Barın Han is not accessible for people with disabilities.
On the first Monday (19 September) following the opening when all venues are open, all guided tours will proceed on scheduled times. Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum opens at 12.00 on Sundays, therefore guided tours at 11.00 are not organised. Tours at 14.00 and 16.00 are organised as scheduled. An additional guided tour at 20.00 takes place on Fridays when the museum is open until 22.00.
All the biennial venues will be open on the national holiday on 29 October, Saturday.
