Singer, songwriter and producer Aime Simone recorded her debut album Say Yes, Say No, including the addictive single “Shining Light”, in Berlin. She skillfully utilized the subtleties of pop songwriting and the club music she was influenced by during her Berlin days. Her new album Oh Glory, released in 2023, is an emotional panorama that captures poignant moments from her travels to Berlin, Los Angeles, Vienna and Paris. Aime’s journey was informed by various artistic encounters, especially with her life partner and creative alter ego, the American artist Sonja Fix, and her relationship with Berlin, where she lived for several years and saw it as a refuge where artistic pluralism could unfold.
