From the organizer:

Her new album, “99 Nights”, will release through Cult Nation/Atlantic Records, is an introspective exploration of self-discovery and self-acceptance through music.

Cardin was surrounded by music from a young age, and it became a way for her to connect with herself and the world through storytelling and introspection. After releasing two EPs, “Big Boy” and “Main Girl,” Cardin gained international recognition with her 2021 debut album, “Phoenix.” The album received critical acclaim and earned Cardin four JUNO Awards, including “Album of the Year” and “Artist of the Year.”

Cardin’s journey towards “99 Nights” took her to London, Los Angeles, and Toronto, where she wrote and recorded the album. The title of the album, “99 Nights,” is a symbol of the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, as Cardin explores different worlds to touch base with the most important things in her life.

The album starts with the upbeat “Confetti,” which is an ode to introverts and encourages listeners to own up to who they are without trying to meet other people’s expectations. The track “Jim Carrey” explores the idea of getting rid of one’s ego and accepting who you really are. The opener “Puppy” sets the tone for the album, encouraging listeners to enjoy the present and the deep connections it brings. The evocative finale “Next To You” is a personal and emotional song about leaving Cardin’s hometown and looking for a better version of herself.

Through “99 Nights,” Cardin has found comfort in her true instincts and is happier than ever. Her introspective journey towards self-discovery and self-acceptance is a positive one, and her music invites listeners to embrace their true selves.
