Zorlu PSM will host Orchestra Baobab on Tuesday 8 May. Doors are set to open at 20.30, with tickets priced at 70 TL and available via Biletix.

Senegalese band Orchestra Baobab is a leading name on Afro-Cuban tradition music stage. With their multi-ethnic and multi-cultural structure, the speciality of the band lies in mixing the current craze for Cuban music with Wolof Griot culture and Mandinga music tradition of Casamance. Became a phenomenon in 1970s, the band faced split after an unsuccessful period in 1980s. They formed the band back in 2001 upon request from their fans and celebrated reunion with two records and a magnificent concert in Barbican Centre London. The group had the chance to work with legendary Ibrahim Ferrer of Buena Vista Social Club during this period. The band also performs to end poverty in Africa with fundraising concerts. They have 23 studio albums in their discography up to date.
