Donate Your Gently Used Clothing @ Kadıköy’s Open Wardrobe

Open WardrobeHave some unworn clothes languishing in your closet? Looking to put your gently worn clothing to good use? Those of us who are used to dropping off donations at the Salvation Army, Goodwill and Oxfam might be left scratching our heads since organizations of this sort aren’t common in Turkey. But, thankfully, the Kadıköy Belediyesi Social Support Center has founded an Open Wardrobe (Açık Gardırop) where people can donate any second-hand clothing they may have. The only requirements are that the clothes are undamaged, laundered and folded, and bagged by clothing type and labelled accordingly. Shoes and handbags are also accepted, but undergarments are (understandably) not.

According to our most recent information, the Open Wardrobe is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00pm, but is closed at lunch. If you have any questions or would like more information, you can contact them at (0216)5457228 or visit their website.
