From the organizer:

Was established in Toronto in 2010 led by guitarist and producer Ozan Boz and vocalist Özgü Özman. With their debut album “Second Nature” which had Michael Occhipinti, Chris Gartner, Debashis Sinha, İsmail Hakkı Fencioğlu, Didem Başar, Sidar Demirer and Selim Sesler contributed, they won the World Group of the Year award at Canadian Folk Music Awards and Canada Independent Music Awards. The praise they received from international press included “a giant step for world music,” and that they have “a deep understanding of what is takes to create dreamy and cinematic textures.” This album stormed Turkey later than it did the world–it was in the top 10 in 2014 when it was released. Özman was commended for his flawless vocals that was best after their creator, Neşet Ertaş. Several prestigious festivals and venues hosted them on stage, securing them a strong position in the world music scene. They will be releasing their long-awaited second album by the end of the year, and take the stage in Istanbul.
