Yabangee is seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteer interns to join our dynamic team. If you’re a student looking to immerse yourself in all things related to Istanbul, then these positions are perfect for you.
We currently have three available internship positions:
- Editorial & Office Coordinator – If you’re passionate about editing, want to gain experience writing in English, and want hands-on experience in managing publications, this is a perfect opportunity to do so. You’ll join us a minimum of once a week in the office, where you’ll sharpen your editorial skills, focus on writing, and help manage our online platform. (Must be a native Turkish speaker.)
- Social Media Coordinator – Are you a social media enthusiast with a flair for creating engaging video content? Want to simply gain some experience under your belt with an established audience? This position awaits your creative touch, particularly on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Dive into the world of short-form video content that aligns with our scope of introducing the many facets of Türkiye to our audience. Bring your ideas to life, build an online presence, and connect with our audience in innovative ways.
- Events Coordinator – We host hundreds of events each year and we’re looking for individuals to be more involved in the process of planning, attending, and making guests feel welcome at our events. If you have an interest in event management or simply love meeting new people and hosting events, then this would be a strong fit!
Qualifications for Editorial & Office Coordinator:
- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English
- Native Turkish speaker
- Proficient in word processing and internet skills
- Familiarity with various social networking platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
- Passionate about Istanbul arts, culture, history, etc.
- Daily access to a computer
- Organized and reliable
- Availability to spend at least one business day a week at our office space in ATÖLYE, bomontiada (Şişli)
- 18+ years of age
Qualifications for Social Media Coordinator:
- Mobile device with a quality camera
- Genuine passion for social media and video content creation
- Proficient in video content creation and editing for TikTok and Instagram
- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms
- 18+ years of age
Qualifications for Events Coordinator:
- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English
- Additional preference given to Turkish speakers
- Genuine passion for event management
- Desire to meet new people, network, and assist others in doing the same
- Available to attend at least six to eight evening events per month
- 18+ years of age
All internships are for a six month period.
