Babylon Bomonti will host the experimental rhythms of Kwabs as part of Nights by You on Friday 7 October. DJ Orkun Bozdemir is set to follow with the evening’s midnight session. Doors are set to open at 21:30 , while tickets are priced at 50 TL and available via Biletix.

Kwabs drew attention for the first time on BBC’s “Goldie’s Band: By Royal Appointment,” where the British musician, DJ, and actor Goldie brought young talents together. He then performed live for Prince Harry in 2011 at Buckingham Palace. His covers for “Like a Star” by Corinne Bailey Rae and “The Wilhelm Scream” by James Blake went viral on YouTube, drawing close to a million views. Prestigious broadcasters like MTV and BBC Radio soon took notice, and Kwabs recorded his first EP “Wrong or Right” with help from names like BANKS, Sohn, and Ben Pearce, among others.
The artist made his big break last year, reaching the top of the charts in the UK and Europe with the hit track “Walk” released in September. He also took the number 1 spot on the iTunes charts. “Saved,” another track from Kwabs’ first LP “Love & War,” was used as the promotional trailer track for the second season of BBC TV series “The Musketeers,” while “Walk” was used in the soundtrack of FIFA15.
Orkun Bozdemir: DJ and musical director Orkun Bozdemir sails into a darker mood, adding elements of deep house to tech-house and minimal techno, and elements of funk to jazzy house. Bozdemir stepped into his career first when he was a DJ for Lounge FM 96 and FG 93.7, and then founded his own record label Soul Revue in 2010. He was the organiser, venue manager, and DJ for high-profile events, including Electronica Festival and Chill-Out festival, becoming the first Turkish DJ to play at Europe’s prestigious beach event Garden Festival in 2013.
