Moderat @ Zorlu Center PSM

Zorlu Center PSM will host three-piece electronic music outfit Moderat on Friday 11 November. The show is set to start at 22:00, with tickets already sold out via Biletix.

From the organizer:

Moderat originates from a collaboration between Modeselektor and Apparat. Modeselektor consists of Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, who are considered as minimal techno music heroes, while Apparat is a pseudonym for German electronic musician Sascha Ring. When Bronsert and Szary met Ring in 2002, they merged their projects, which had gained quite a fame on the Berlin music scene, in order to form Moderat.

After releasing an EP called Auf Kosten der Gesundheit in 2002, they went on with their separate projects, working on albums of their own and touring with esteemed bands such as Radiohead in the meanwhile. They got back together in 2008 and released their eponymous debut album in 2009. After their first album, which gained critical acclaim for its creativity and catchiness, they worked together in six more EPs and two more albums. The latest one titled III was released in April 2016, a month after the release of the single “Reminder”. From their early days, Moderat has always been a band that is backed with mesmerizing live visuals. In 2009, they were selected “The #1 Live Act Of The Year” by the readers of Resident Advisor, the online electronic music magazine.

Bringing the thundering techno rhythms of Modeselektor and the subtle electronica melodies of Apparat together, Moderat is able to create a unique sound. Prepare as this uniqueness happens right in front of your eyes when they take the stage in Zorlu PSM on November 11!
